Fresh pasta, dishes from Emilia-Romagna and natural wines. A kitchen that changes every day.
At L'Alquimista there is no fixed menu. The kitchen changes with the market and what the season asks for, and many dishes are told out loud. What follows is a taste of what usually comes to our table; on the day you visit we will explain in person what we have.
To start
Burrata
With tomato, aubergine and basil.
Tonno crudo
Marinated bluefin tuna, olive oil and citrus.
Tagliere di salumi
A selection of Italian cured meats, lardo di Colonnata and speck.
Parmesan flan
SpecialityCreamy and moreish, one of the house classics.
Fresh pasta
All the pasta is kneaded and filled the same day, by hand.
Tagliolino al tartufo
TruffleHand-cut egg tagliolini with fresh truffle.
Spaghetto alla chitarra carbonara
SpecialityWith guanciale, egg and pecorino. Like in Rome, with Romagna dough.
Cacio e pepe
Pecorino romano and black pepper. Three ingredients, no tricks.
Cappelletti al ragù
Filled pasta with the house ragù, cooked low and slow.
Tortelli di zucca
Filled with pumpkin, butter and sage.
Lasagna alla bolognese
Thin sheets baked the same day.
Pasta e fagioli
RomagnaA stew of pasta and beans, served in the pan.
From the streets of Romagna
Piadina romagnola

A small cellar of natural, low-intervention Italian wines, from growers we know. By the glass and by the bottle, plus limoncello and amaro to close the night.
